Two Freehands…
Freehand’s Creative Director, Michael “Spike” Foley, and Managing Director, Sophia Scheibeler, met at Furman University in 2017 and have been inseparable ever since. A creative team by nature, the duo laid their artistic foundations in Furman’s esteemed art department before developing their individual careers.
Spike has garnered half a decade of experience honing creative assets and developing social media personalities for burgeoning brands. Sophia began her career in package design before earning a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Clemson University, where she learned to strategize and implement the hottest and most effective marketing tools for her adoring clients.
Together, Spike and Sophia formed Freehand Social to fuse their creative and strategic expertise with their mutual passion for helping small businesses succeed. Having both been reared in entrepreneurial families, the Freehand Social team aspires to provide companies and their owners with top-tier social media services at attainable costs. We regard our clients as family, and we hope that you will join the Freehand Social family, too!

He holds a BA in Studio Art from Furman University and has a proven track record of helping brands build strong, engaged followings from the ground up. The original artist behind "Foley Freehand," Spike brings creativity and vision to every project. His expertise lies in transforming brand identities into authentic social media personalities that resonate with audiences.

Co-Founder & Managing Director
With a background in art and branding, Sophia blends creativity with strategic marketing to help businesses amplify their online presence. She holds an MBA in Digital Brand Communications from Clemson University and has over six years of experience in the digital marketing space. Passionate about empowering entrepreneurs, Sophia specializes in building impactful, authentic brand stories for her clients.

Creative Marketing Assistant
With a background in public health and MPH from Boston University, Caroline brings a new perspective to the Freehand team. With astute organizational skills and experience in research and data management, she increases productivity, streamlines workflows, and optimizes day-to-day operations.
Kyle Lavelle
Graphic Design Assistant
The newest member of the Freehand team, Kyle brings a unique eye to our creative department, producing assets and graphics for both client projects and our own digital platforms. With an undergraduate degree from Coastal Carolina University and specializations in graphic design and photography, Kyle adds a fresh and dynamic edge to the Freehand creative team.
Laylah Little
Summer 2025 Intern
Currently puruing her B.S. in Public Relations at St. John’s University, Laylah joins us for summer 2025 to assist with video editing, trend research, internal marketing, and client projects.
